49th Number Is Lucky for Lincoln City Woman
Donna Verlene Moe Claims $27,900 Bingo Jackpot at Spirit Mountain Casino
Donna Verlene Moe was very pleased when she thought she had won $2,700 after "blacking out" her card on the 49th number called during the afternoon Bingo session at Spirit Mountain Casino on August 22nd.
As it turned out, she was greatly mistaken.
After being congratulated by Bingo Lead Cynthia Stanley-Adams for winning the progressive jackpot of Bonanza Blackout, she learned shortly afterwards that she had not won $2,700, but $27,900. Donna had not noticed an extra "9" in the figure. Bursting into tears of joy and hugging staff members, Donna could not believe her great fortune. She had hit the jackpot on the next to last number called as players try to "black out" their card in 50 numbers or less.
Donna has not visited Spirit Mountain in awhile, but decided to take the short, scenic drive from the coast on a whim. Her hunch served as a windfall premonition and a reminder to look twice at numbers that follow a dollar sign.
